Is there an examination and certification with this course?

Attendees can register for the exam at any time as the exam is available online via APMG and Proctor U. The successful candidate will receive a GCHQ Certified Certificate in Cyber Incident Planning and Response. The exam has 30 questions and maximum time to complete is 25 mins. You would need to achieve 15 out of 30 marks (50%) to achieve a pass. Certification is provided by APMG International.

Any formalities / information that needs to be provided before appearing for the exam?

Exam registrants must have attended the online or live classroom training. Once exam fee has been received then CMA will register the applicant for the exam in the APMG International portal.

How much is the online exam fee?

Exam fee is £150 or $199.

Do I need to prepare / study before attending this course?

No prerequisites apart from a basic understanding of IT. No pre-study necessary.

Are there any pre-requisites for this training? Technical background? Information Security background?

Information Security background is not a pre-requisite. We have had people attend from all aspects of Information Technology, Risk, Audit etc. and even from Marketing, HR, PR and communications.

Will the course be sufficient to respond to the examination or is additional studying / preparation required?

The course will be sufficient however we will also provide additional case study documentation for self-study after the examination.
